The colors on the old hand tools are even more magnificent grouped together like they are in your photo. Always fun to visit you and see what you have been finding.Jane T.
Oh I love old rusty gardening tools too!
I have 2 sets of tools, the rusty ones are my favs, they get lots of use. The nice painted ones just didn't cut the job thus got put in a bucket for the next sale.I would love to hear about what kind of pro gardening your family did sometime... Have a great weekend...any shows?
What a fun collection. I love vegetable gardening..and love my garden tools. The plant tags are just wonderful..
The tools look to me like gnarled, weathered hands that have worked many hours in the garden.Happiness,~Julia
I love the old garden tools. The hand tools have just the right amount of paint and rust to give them the aged patina I love and what a happy coincidence that the garden tags had the name of your grade school on them. Love them!
Great pictures. Makes me want to head out shopping, today.
this reminds me that I should be outside working in my garden instead of inside admiring you pictures. But I love them!
I LOVE those old tools... I have some FUN old gardening items too!!! HUbby is always try to throw them out! LOL
Love those old plant tags, and how perfect for YOU! And I can never pass up any old garden tools that still have the paint on them. Garage saling was horrible today! Went to about 20 sales, and only spent $3. That's very sad...
These are great! I have some vintage-looking (but sadly actually new) chalk-board plant tags which the boys use to 'keep their place' in CD stories that get taken in and out of the player. They just chalk the number of the CD and the track number on the tag, and there it stays until they listen again...
I love the old garden tools...have some with pretty colors, but most that I find are rusty & crusty. Think the FL humidity may have something to do with that. I see the garden forks as arms & hands too, would love to craft a garden figure using 2 for the arms. Need a new drill, so I don't split all that old wood. Have a great weekend *elaine*
Love these old gardening tools. Funny how we have to buy things that have the same name or jog an old memory!! Have a great weekend xx Julie
I can't pass up on old gardening items either. I hope the trend never changes since I have so much of it. My favorite part of county fairs is looking at the old farm equipment. Weird huh?
Sometimes you find the older tools are better than new ones. I have a few of both and tend to use my older ones more.
I swear you can make anything interesting!Sue
