One of the fun things {actually probably the ONLY fun thing} about cleaning out THE PILES in my garage...
is seeing what is behind them. Here is a second White Wednesday post about what I have uncovered.
Sea fans, giant clam shell, star fish, and deer horns inside of an old green terrarium...
White metal "Flower" flower frogs. The metal flowers were put inside a vase ~ and then the live flowers were arranged around them...using the metal stems to hold the arrangement in place.
Look at this poor old deer. He is so old he now has a white face just like our beloved old dogs.
Don't you wish they still would give you the bushel baskets when you buy apples at the orchard? I love the bushel baskets almost as much as the apples...a paper bag is just not the same.
Wow! Interesting site! I was going to say: A penny for your thoughts. You beat me hands down in generosity when you say: Your 2 cents!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a giant clam shell hidden somewhere (and find it!).
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful shell..and I love the flower frogs...and yes, I too wished you were given the baskets. The baskets are the best part..
ReplyDeleteI've never seen flower frogs like those, I like them. I have shells all over my house, I really should pull them together for a "white" post one of these days.

I need to clean out our garage too! The work bench is piled with all sorts of things. For instance I know there is a dish of seashells sitting there that I brought back from Nantucket two years ago. Perhaps this post will give me the incentive to get myself motivated to clean up this mess of mine. :-)

Your dear is adorable. Are you keeping him or sending him out to pasture?

ReplyDeleteSurely the 500 followers will come first! Come on ppl stop reading comments and follow!! hahaha
Well I wish like the Maya I could clean up and find a beautiful large shell like this. I did though find my hundreds of missing travel pics!!
Have a great week! xx Julie
Hi Joan, can we come over and shop your garage??? Bamby is looking better with age! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteMore treasures uncovered everyday in your stash... I'd love to poke around in your garage :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Day,
~Julia
Oh that deer is just so sweet, isn't she fabulous?
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy with a paper bag for apples, we get a rubbermaid container lined with a plastic bag for ours, it just takes away the ambiance, and ofcourse the luxury of keeping the bushel basket ;)
Congratulations! I'm your 500th follower! Whoot Hoot! Yippie!
ReplyDeleteLove the white face on your old deer! It sure does remind me of old white faced doggies! You can see the wisdom on the face of an old white faced dog!
Get R Done Friday!
