I've Seen Trouble

I've seen trouble... a Trouble Light that is.

(By the way, those are FieFie and Olive, my etsy shop's mascot frogs.)

I love industrial lighting, and a Trouble Light is the easiest to use.

Just hang it up using its 18 foot cord and
you're ready to go.

This vintage Trouble Light is available at

Imagination Wanted

I am continuing to poke around my studio
AKA the basement for stuff to send along to new homes.

This morning I found these.

I always have thought that they would be neat
repurposed into something,
but what?

What would you make out of them?

Available at anythinggoeshere.etsy.

SOLD

Funky Storage~ My Favorite Thing at anythinggoeshere.etsy

Found yesterday and listed this morning.

This storage box is my current favorite thing

This drawer storage box has the funkiest finish.

It is some kind of wacky textured pastel spray paint.

With what looks like colored terrarium gravel sprinkled on.

A one-of-a-kind piece probably "refinished" between
the late 1950's to 1970's is my guess.

I love finding things that I have never seen before!

Is this a finish you've ever seen?

This is a LOVE it or HATE it piece.
Which are you?

Repurposed Display of the Day

I am selling all of my vintage hanger collection

Most of them are gone.

But I couldn't resist repurposing some of them
into unique displays.

I especially like this one.

SOLD

I think it looks like it was always a jewelry display
even though I just recently I added the cup hooks.

What do you think?

This "new" jewelry display available at anythinggoeshere.etsy.

anythinggoeshere~ What's in a name?

I have been blogging for two years now, and
thought to mark that anniversary I
would share some "Reflection Snippets"
on the last two years.

Here is my first "Snippet":

I am so glad I chose the name anythinggoeshere.

The name was inspired by this vintage storage pocket I bought years ago.
It used to hang in my shop, and now retired, it hangs in my garage.

Choosing anythinggoeshere has given me the freedom to blog
about ANYthing strikes my fancy...
AND
I have gotten to "make up" lots of fun things
like "2011, The Year of the Brush"
and
"March, National Clothespin Month"

Thank you everyone who has been reading anythinggoeshere from the beginning
and everyone who has joined up along the way.

Have a wonderful day!!

Can a vintage hanger wear a new hat?

Before I sent all my vintage hangers off for sale
I had to do at least one repurpose.
I will make a photoholder out of anything....
even though right now instead of photos
this vintage hanger display
is showing off some vintage stencils.
Find it here at anythinggoeshere.etsy.

I'm Selling It All!

If you read my blog you know that one of the reasons I started selling on etsy
9 months ago was to sell some of my personal collections.

SOLD

For the last week I have been working on offering for sale all
of my personal vintage hanger collection.

SOLD

I have added 28 listings of vintage clothing hangers.

SOLD

This group includes the cutest little baby hanger from Germany.

SOLD

I have several listings that include vintage advertising hangers
from around the country.

SOLD

Many of the listings would make interesting repurposed
photo/note/message holders.

SOLD

I have several listing of early twisty antique wire hangers including
this one with clothespins attached.

SOLD

I have listings that have just one hanger up to listings
including instant collections of 6 hangers.

SOLD

Love the simplicity of this group.

SOLD

Some listings are quirky and ingenious like these that slide apart
to make the hangers larger or smaller.

SOLD

And these that look great just hanging there in their vintage nakedness.

SOLD

I have a few more to add this week then all of the vintage hangers I've collected
over the past 20+ years will be for sale.

The things I enjoyed about collecting vintage hangers were the endless variety,
the inventiveness of their manufacturers, their wonderful graphic quality,
and their humble, basic usefulness.

I hope I can pass along my love for vintage clothing hangers to you
... along with some hangers... today!
