  2. It is fun to find the boxes too. You're right about the graphics. They are as fun as the items themselves. I have some boxes to share next week.

Yes, we have found old undergarmets! Everything was saved, no matter how worn, if there was some part that could be usefull: lace, ribbons, snaps, eye hooks, elastic... Some fabric and paper items literally disentigrate if you pick them up but much of it has held together. Lucky for us.

    Happy Vintage Monday!

  15. I've got my post up for the 2nd week. I'm really enjoying walking down memory lane!
I found an old ornament hanger box just last week at a thrift store. It was in a huge bag of junk for $1.00. I didn't care about anything else in the bag but knew I had to have that Shiny Brite Ornament Hangers box.
    Have a great week.

  20. Hi, Joan!!
Am so having fun with this! I had my post almost ready to go before we left town ... and had to laugh when I looked at yours today. The boxes are FORCING us to keep them (kinda like puppy and kitty eyes!!) Be sure to look at the fine print, as sometimes it is misleading .... (see my post) ...
Hugs and thanks so much for hosting this FUN day!!
    Betty :)

  21. Hi Joan,
Love your boxes too... the pile of them together looks great. You were asking about my tree. It is in fact made out of an antique prune drying rack from the Dordogne region of France.
If you listen to the song - in the video you will see lots of vintage decorations and postcards. THis is THE favourite French Christmas Carol that brings a tear to all grown up's eyes ;-)
So I hand wrote it (well - I calligraphed it with a tiny paint brush) on the old slats of wood that make up what used to be the base of the rack. Pleased you like it! Unfortunately I can't put it in my Etsy shop as it is too fragile to transport.
Next week - pampilles and lights, in English this time!

I didn't know I had a piece of Grandmas Moses fabric when you commented on my blog. I just loved the picture and I guess it was sitting in my mothers shop forever and nobody would buy it, then I saw it and fell in love. Now I love it more knowing who its by.:)

  29. Your vintage Christmas Monday idea is amazing! Thank you for being such a welcoming hostess :+) Your tree from last year is one of the most amazing trees I've ever seen ~ packed with vintage pink shiny brites! OMGosh! Could it get any prettier than that?
The comment you left about the Christmas stand I photographed had me cracking up!
    Thanks :+)
