When the weather here in Northern Illinois starts turning colder...
I start thinking about using my candles..
All in shades of white, cream, and yellow...
What does the change to colder weather make you think of????

Your photos are beautiful, Joan. Winter makes me think of staying warm and finding simple pleasures indoors. I am not much of an 'outdoors person'.

ReplyDeleteLovely photos.
ReplyDeleteI always think of walking through crunchy snow, warm socks, the smell of wood burning fireplaces, soups and chili and warm quilts.
Snuggles.
The macro shots of the dripping white wax are marvelous. Stop by my blog and say hello, I am approaching 100 posts and have some giveaway goodies listed. Sea Witch

Have a wonderful week xx Julie

cold weather makes me hope for snow for christmas :D
ReplyDeleteThe colder weather (not that we have much in sunny Cali) makes me think of food!!...if it rains: food and TV!!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about pillar candles right now, I'm using them every evening. There is something just warm & cozy about candlelight!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing them today. Take care.
ReplyDeleteNothing like candlelight to set a mood, and if it smells good, then all the better. Cold weather?...warm socks and jammies, a fire, and a good movie, oh yes, and cuddling with my sweetie.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful. I have my candles out a few miles south of you too. Cold weather makes me think of chili!

What gorgeous shots! I'll be back to regular blogging soon, but wanted to visit and say thank you for your visit and comment that you may not even remember leaving since it was back in September!
ReplyDeleteHi Joan! Love those estate sale finds -- will you have them at Grayslake? The cold weather makes me think about candles, too, and soup, chili, stew -- anything like that! xo
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. It's not the cold weather but the earlier darkness that has the candles lit on the dinner table! (It's hard to dine by candlelight when the sun is blazing outside!)
ReplyDeleteTo me, cold weather means a fire in the fireplace and the eiderdowns on the beds!
I love the close-up angles you snapped!
ReplyDeleteCold weather makes me think of tea, a fire, a rocking chair and a good book.
