A few favorites from Vintage Christmas Monday~ Number 3
There were so many interesting posts I think I will do a couple "favorites" posts. My favorites aren't based on THE best~ it is more what I connect with when I am reading them.
Here are some of mine this week~
From Rebecca for Vintage Living we have one of her lovely store vignettes.
"A beautiful mess" is how is how Vacuuming in High Heels and Pearls describes her great stash of ornaments waiting to be used.
See the sweet story of Crissy Mouse played out at The Sunny Side of the Sun Porch.
Find out what you {and your sister} can do with those unwanted sweaters at Vintage Modern Girl.
See Christmas-au-natural at Dreams Intertwined.
A new twist on wreaths using copies of vintage holy cards at Just A Girl.
A drawer of vintage Christmas cards lead to one fabulous lampshade at Ready for the After.
Another un-PC vintage memory from Fiona and Twig.
How to combine vintage with new for a stunning garland at Bella Dreams.
Visit them to read all of their Vintage Christmas Monday post...

These are some of my favorite too. Wish I had time to visit every blog, every week. Working on it right now. Best Wishes, Joan!
ReplyDeleteYou are my first blog party and I am having a great time. I am eagerly pouring through my stash to see what fun things I can put in my post, already planning for next week's. Thank you very much. You are doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteLOve this carnival!
ReplyDeleteDear Joan... I think you are doing a wonderful job hosting our party! I too was disappointed that many of the people who signed up did not do a vintage post, but that is certainly out of your hands! I so appreciate you doing all of this, I know it is a lot of work for you! I am sooo enjoying everyones blogs who DO post! So many beautiful treasures, and my favorite part of all are the memories everyone shares... love to you... Bisous... Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteGot to some real fun ones...looks like I need to keep looking.
ReplyDeleteEven some have interesting posts during the week. Maybe just limit to 50? It is a busy time of year.
So don't be too hard on yourself...its' still lots of fun to find new bloggers that fit your style.
Joan you are doing a great job hosting! I think so many are busy and just don't get their posts up. It's ok. I keep wanting to join in but can't seem to get my photos taken to post. I have enjoyed the Vintage Christmas so much...I'm not done visiting all the posts yet. Thanks again for doing this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great blogger info. You're a wonderful host!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the treasures that others are sharing. Thanks!

that card wreath is gorgeous -- and so unique and creative!! may just have to borrow that idea for my collection of vintage cards!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry too much about posts that didn't happen. It doesn't bother me. I'm still getting around to visit. I think the link tool would make it easier for you though next time.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing your favorites.
Hugs,
Dawn
Joan,
ReplyDeleteAnother smashing Vintage Christmas Monday! This is my first Blog party and I am enjoying it so! Thanks for posting the "Best Of..." because there were so many posts that I did'nt have time to read, either. I had a shop full of customers taking up all my time time! TeeHee. That Ronald Reagan ad hawking the Chesterfields had me in stitches! What a find!
Thanks again, Joan for being the Hostess with the Mostest.

Thank you Joan,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great party.
It is making the Christmas so fun to share and see what others are doing. My friend was a little down and when I showed her Vintage Christmas Monday and Bella's Christmas Deco party it made her really happy!

Like all the ladies have said...this is a great party and it has been so much fun not only posting about some of my vintage items but also for reading about all the cool items people have displayed in their homes for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteIf I go to someone's blog that is listed on your sidebar and they don't have a post up for VCM I just move on down the line!
Thanks for hosting.
Jane
You shouldn't have to apologize. You are doing a great job; that's certainly the consensus. Loved all the images you shared here. :) Blessings and good luck with the show. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThis was so much fun. I'm looking forward to participating next week too.

ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten around to all the post yet, but working my way around. Love the vintage ad with Ronald Reagan. I had seen it and loved seeing it again. Too classic, especially what Anne had to say in her post about this. Too funny! ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, Your doing a great job with this. Don't worry about me when it comes to people not blogging. This is all fun. I just have trouble getting to all of them.
ReplyDeleteI echo ALL these sentiments. Don't get discouraged. I'm having a great time.
ReplyDeleteI'm finding a lot of the "regulars" in my everyday circle of blogging have slowed down or dropped out for various reasons. I think it's just a generally busy/stressful time and many are experiencing HARD times.
(Beauty and friendship are great antidotes to these, though, and we need each other more than ever!)
Lovin' all of it! Thanks again really for hostessing! Your favs are so fun! I love seeing how many different ways you can decorate for Christmas! So much talent and creativity out there!
