Mercury Glass Birds

Vintage Mercury Glass Swans and Storks {I think}.

Made in Germany.

Not as fragile as they look. I have knocked them around a bit over the years.

Estate Sale finds...

Bought over the years in twos and threes. Now there are 10. The biggest is one of my most recent purchases. All a dollar or two each.

Some of them have holes where real feathers once were. Long gone when I found them.

  10. More beautiful vintage treasures. I'm becoming a fan of mercury glass. I've picked up several ornaments in MG this year and attended a dinner party this week where the center piece was done in Mercury Glass. At each place setting was a small Mercury Glass vase filled with red carnations studded with "diamonds". Such a stunning table!

  13. hi, Joan!
LOVE those birds!! I won't be posting for Monday as I am taking a short break for the holidays. Will try to get around and visit the sites and actually say "hi" ... something I just haven't had time to do lately. I figured with my birthday and Christmas just around the corner ... and Friday was my 100th post & giveaway it's okay ... right?
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your blog and all of the comments you have left for me and others.
Have a super holiday season ... and I can't WAIT to see what everyone has for Monday!!
(with granddaughter staying in the hotel with us Sunday night ... I might have company looking at all the goodies!!)
    Hugs!
    Betty :)
