The Morning After... And Lime Green Saturday

I'll be hitting the thrifts and the dollar store for after Christmas bargains....

Putting away the decorations... or at least, starting...

Drinking some of my "Christmas present" coffee and then relaxing....

What about you?

Update~ I didn't find one thing at the thrifts... Oh, well.

  1. Oh no no no...we still have Christmas to go! The second round starts the 27th with late arrivals. And we have a "big 8" twins birthday today. We are over present-ed. And a second Christmas dinner to go.

  2. It is a quiet day around here. The kids and I are home but husband is at work. I am hanging out. Will be cleaning, crafting and maybe do some baking still. I love days with no plans, no responsibilities. I would so love to be thrifting too. Have a great time. I am sure you will find some fantastic treasures to share with us. Peace & blessings Tammy

  7. Lime green is my new fave color. I got up at 5 am this morning just to hit the post-Christmas sales and stock up on lime green ornaments for my tree for next year! Ha!

  8. Merry "Day After" Christmas. Christmas here was atypical. 6-10" of snow fell on Christmas eve so between the snow covered roads the the high winds and drifting snow, no one could travel here yesterday to celebrate Christmas. We were hoping for better conditions today but things still don't look promising. My Mom and Dad and sister (in from Texas) had to sit tight at my parent's house and we stayed home as well. The roads aren't even good enough to get to my favorite thrift stores!!!
    Hope you find some bargains.

  10. My mind says, do knitting, or stitching, or finish the gifts I missed, but my body says...... rest, so I think I will rest!!! Have fun finding more ornaments, I love the colour of these ones!!! They would be nice for a "Whoville" display, mixed with red or pink!! I love the way they decorated the set for the Grinch, it was like a giant candy land!!!

  11. We keep the holiday stuff up into the new year and then turn around and decorate for Mardi Gras, which will be Feb. 16 this year. I always hate taking down the holiday stuff but this way my house just stays festive a bit longer!

  16. Yep, I about ready to start putting away all the Christmas stuff too. For some reason I have the need to return everything around here back to normal again. Or at least, what I call normal.

  18. Ooh I like Lime green, especially with Pink! I just sat around on a heating pad today! Maybe I'll feel like running to the thrifts here in the am! The cold just makes me ache even more though! Can't wait to see what you find. Maureen

  21. I'm dragging out the holidays here as much as I can. Heavy-duty celebrations and hosting/cooking/baking responsibilities last week tired me out so much I declared not one but two lazy days with no responsibilities. Sadly, there was no time for thrifting until last Monday, by which time everything had been picked over pretty well. My one happy purchase was a 1971 set of Wilton heart cake pans! Can't decide whether to make three cakes ... or maybe three chocolate chip cookie cakes? Or something entirely different, like something decorative.
