These are close ~ up photos of a IRON {and I mean thick and heavy IRON} birdhouse "condo" I have owned for twenty years.
I bought it at an Illinois' auction, but was from
Missouri originally. I knew the auction consignors, and they traveled the country finding the most incredible stuff.
There are 4 cute little doorways and the inside is divided into 4 "units".
And just in case birds
CAN read the For Rent notice is painted on the roof.
Hello, stumbled upon your blog and I love it. I too collect junk...errrr...treasures. It all started many years ago as a child looking in peoples trash cans in the alley ways...lol. And the wire twistie thingys...great idea. I will simply have to visit again.

What a condo! I had a friend who built an owl house and put it up in his garden with a 'For sale - would suit young couple' sign on it. I think it was quickly occupied!
ReplyDeleteI shall try to follow up this White Wednesday, although I mostly go for cream myself (too much of a coward to cope with spills, I think).
That is really cool.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable. A qualtiy construction to last.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful ! TTFN ~Marydon
ReplyDeleteFOR RENT. How cute. I'll let you know if I need to move anytime soon!! x Julie
ReplyDeleteThis is one GREAT birdhouse! I love it! Anything made out of a different material than normally used just makes my heart beat faster. I love the stairs and the nice way it has rusted. How fabulous to own this!!

ReplyDeleteLove your bird theme! Thanks for letting us "fly" with you.
Beautiful birdhouse! I can just imagine peeking into those and seeing all the "renters" snuggled in.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your posts, I was not aware of the Feathered Friends Blog Party, how fun, I love birds and All God's Creatures...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your fun and unusual birdhouse. I'd love to have that one!

This is the cutest bird house I've ever seen. Little stairs to climb up.

Don't let the birds in my garden see that gem, they will ditch their digs here pretty fast.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
