In September I like to add a little autumn to my beach decor....
with seed pods, dried hydrangea, touches of darker blue and a splash of orange.
I found this plaster urn a couple of years ago. I have never seen another like it. Wish I had a second one
~ I love pairs!
Hi Joan,
ReplyDeleteI love the urn!! I have one and I haven't been able to figure out what to do with it. I think I have a creativity block!!
I have seen these at places that carry statuary and we recently went to one in Downers Grove at 75th and Lemont Road. It's huge!!
Have a great week, Joan! :-)

ReplyDeleteOooh how beautiful! I love Autumn colors too and they mix so well with lovely whites... Bisous... Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous urn and such beautiful flowers. I love the soft look of autumn much more than bright vivid colors. This is stunning. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove the whites in the urn and coral, they look really cool together!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous ... you did a beautiful job creating this.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week. TTFN ~ Marydon
Did you e-mail me that I won something?
ReplyDeleteI don't see a post about it so I want to be sure. I would have loved the estate sale below but realize I better purge some stuff~!

I love the colours here. Wonderful for the season.
ReplyDeleteThe urn looks fabulous with the combo you have put together. I guess I am getting in the fall mood...it's just that we didn't have summer yet! Do I sound like I am whining?
ReplyDeleteLove the urn
Blessings
Rebecca
Lovely Autumn touches
ReplyDeleteYou'll forgive me if I just can't stop thinking about spring! hehe Have a fun week. x Julie
Wonderful combo..., and the white coral is such a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteGreat look incorporating the beach theme with your Autumn colors

We don't really have much of an Autumn here in my area of Florida — we go from Summer to a short winter and on to Spring, so I'm always looking for touches around the house to give it a seasonal look and this is just beautiful. I love the white coral in the urn!
ReplyDeleteLike Rhonda, we don't have much of a fall here in Central FL...but we love to pretend by using dried and silk flowers and leaves. Today is my transition day.... Not only do I shift the colors from blues and greens to reds and greens, I change the drapery panels in the living room. And I change my paintings...and this week, I'll paint a couple of new ones...still coastal, but different colors.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of adding the dried hydrangea to your beautiful urn with coral. Very chic!
Jane (artfully graced)
I stay in spring & summer mode year round (yes, even at Christmas) but I love what you did here. Perfect colors

We don't get rid of our Summer stuff either, just like you, we just add a few warmer colors. Looks fab!! Thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI have a fondness for corral and seashells; love the natural feel and the shapes.
ReplyDeleteCool urn! Like what you've done.

That Urn is to DIE FOR and love the seed pods in it. I put together pod displays everywhere in the fall. It's such a classer look then MUMs-blah.
ReplyDeleteCarole
I've always been contrary and instead of dark hues have always thought of white as a wonderful fall color. Thanks for backing up my theory-- and joining in Waterside Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteLove your white urn and your blog! I will be back!
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
THAT'S CHARMING, JOAN. FALL DOES SEEM TO BE IN THE AIR EARLY THIS YEAR.
ReplyDeleteThe urn with Fall froo froo is simply divine!
